1. Visual News
Very inspirational, and full of new angles. Everything from video, to
infographics, to photography, to fine art. If it's awesome and you can
see it with your eyes. It will be on Visual News.
2. Design Instruct
Great place to find out how to do anything and get free stuff. My favorite tutorial is the skin tutorial, and you can get to it by clicking here.
3. NICE Magazine
Free PDF magazine that comes out once every few months to highlight designers, illustrators, and other extraordinary creatives that inspire us designers to do what we do.
4. The Dieline
If you have to package something, anything, go to this website. End of story. Crazy good work and it's easy to find.
5. Stefan Sagmeister
Stefan Sagmeister is one of my biggest inspirations. His ability to take anything and give it a completely different deep and compelling message is very inspiring. I can also appreciate how far he's willing to put himself out there for his pieces. Look at his website. Read his books. That's what I do when I'm stuck.
6. Neuarmy
Simple and clean design based out of Philly. Neuarmy is a blog run by the design director at neiman... which is also a cool site. Really great typography and package design.
7. Designers Go To Heaven
This is pretty obvious. It's a mash-up of fine art, package design, typography, posters, calendars, and anything else that could have slipped through the hands of a designer. Great examples of up and coming techniques, looks, and styles.
8. Typeverything
I love typography and I love this blog. If you love typography...which you should... you'll love this blog.
9. Jon Contino
Is another one of my favorite designers. He's really great at doing hand done type and illustration. It's nice to be reminded that success does not mean you have to be chained to the computer. Jon reminds me to keep drawing!
10. Logo Design Love
This website (and book) is dedicated to the love of logo design and brand identities. Informational and inspirational.
There are definitely more websites and designers that inspire me, but these are probably my most visited places. Enjoy!
